Neon fragments -
Neon Fragments explores emotional dissociation as a response to trauma. The work follows a figure who withdraws from reality, entering a constructed, otherworldly space as a way to numb and survive emotional pain.
Dressed in white, the figure exists between absence and return. As the series unfolds, the figure begins to reconnect with fragments of her memory, along with objects and sensations. These memories reappear altered and distorted, as if filtered through a protective lens. Certain images present unnatural, neon-shifted colors, suggesting the mind’s attempt to censor and soften what it cannot fully face.
As the figure moves forward, she begins to reconcile with her reality, gathering fragments and piecing them together, until what was once obscured slowly comes into view and her reality becomes whole again.
